Click on each thumbnail for an enlarge view. This is is a late Victorian composite lamp. It is virutally flawless with no chips, scratches or cracks.

Note the hand painted blue swirl glass stem, daisy pattern in the well incised base that matches the font, all topped with a wonderful open topped blue hobnail shade (see page 203 for similar in Thuro's Vol. 3). Also note the original fluted band burner collar: an uncommon find. The burner is a solid brass replacement #2 Queen Ann. What appears in the second(and last) photographs to be a crack in the top of the font is not - it is a cooling wrinkle embedded in the glass.
