1885 Adams & Co. Amber Apollo pattern
An uncommonly attractive lamp made by Adams & Co. of Pittsburgh, PA in the 1870's. See in Thuro, Vol. 1, p. 262. Market value of lamp alone (without burner or chimney is $250-$300. The lamp is original and virtually pristine. chimney and solid brass #1 burner with wick. Displays especially nicely when backlit, such as in a north-facing window.
